About IEC
IEC of the Bluegrass, Inc., (formerly known as the Kentucky Electrical Contractors Association, KECA-IEC, Inc.), is a non-profit organization covering 86 of the 120 Kentucky counties from Pikeville to Paducah. IEC works to develop, maintain, and improve the quality of electrical construction at all levels in order to provide to the public the benefits of electrical contracting services, based on management information and construction techniques to meet and exceed the highest level of standards.
When you join IEC of the Bluegrass, Inc., you secure a business partner dedicated to making yours a better business. In 1989 a few contractors decided there were some things they could do better and less expensively if they joined forces. Out of this decision grew IEC of the Bluegrass, Inc., an association of businesses that perform electrical construction.
IEC is approved to provide the Kentucky and Ohio electrical licensing continuing education training for contractors, master electricians and journeymen. IEC also provides a four year apprenticeship program approved by the US Department of Labor and the Kentucky Apprenticeship Council.
